Welcome

Prayer

Loving Lord and heavenly Father, I offer up today all that I am, all that I have, all that I do, and all that I suffer, to be Yours today and Yours forever. Give me grace, Lord, to do all that I know of Your holy will. Purify my heart, sanctify my thinking, correct my desires. Teach me, in all of today’s work and trouble and joy, to respond with honest praise, simple trust, and instant obedience, that my life may be in truth a living sacrifice, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, my Master and my all. Amen.

-Elisabeth Elliott 1926-2015 ‌

Scripture Reading

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

- Psalm 23

Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

- James 1:16-18

Offering

Offering is a form of worship.

"Generosity is not an obligation; it's an opportunity for believers to be shaped into the image of Christ that people around them so desperately need. Generosity also reminds us that there is hope, even when our circumstances appear dark and grim. It draws us to look to God, and we are reminded that because we serve a God who creates out of nothing, the realm of possibility for our future is greater than we can ever imagine." - Contagious Generositys

The‌ ‌invitation‌ ‌is‌ ‌given‌ ‌to‌ ‌every‌ ‌person‌ ‌by‌ ‌Jesus‌ ‌Christ:‌
“Come‌ ‌to‌ ‌me!‌ ‌Follow‌ ‌me!‌ ‌Be‌ ‌my‌ ‌disciples!”‌ ‌‌
We‌ ‌come‌ ‌to‌ ‌this‌ ‌place,‌ ‌to‌ ‌this‌ ‌time,‌ ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌invitation‌ ‌of‌ ‌Jesus‌ ‌Christ.‌
‌ ‌ In‌ ‌the‌ ‌name‌ ‌of‌ ‌Christ,‌ ‌‌
we‌ ‌accept‌ ‌the‌ ‌invitation‌ ‌to‌ ‌discipleship.‌ ‌‌

as‌ ‌his‌ ‌disciples,‌ ‌we‌ ‌worship‌ ‌and‌ ‌praise‌ ‌God.‌ ‌‌
In‌ ‌the‌ ‌midst‌ ‌of‌ ‌a‌ ‌world‌ ‌where‌ ‌cruelty‌ ‌abounds,‌ ‌‌
we‌ ‌proclaim‌ ‌the‌ ‌God‌ ‌of‌ ‌Compassion.‌ ‌‌
In‌ ‌the‌ ‌midst‌ ‌of‌ ‌despair‌ ‌that‌ ‌threatens‌ ‌to‌ ‌swallow‌ ‌up‌ ‌whole‌ ‌lives,‌ ‌whole‌ ‌peoples,‌ ‌‌
we‌ ‌proclaim‌ ‌the‌ ‌God‌ ‌of‌ ‌Hope.‌ ‌‌
In‌ ‌the‌ ‌midst‌ ‌of‌ ‌indifference‌ ‌and‌ ‌apathy,‌ ‌‌
we‌ ‌proclaim‌ ‌the‌ ‌God‌ ‌of‌ ‌Love.‌ ‌‌
Come,‌ ‌let‌ ‌us‌ ‌worship‌ ‌together‌ ‌‌
and‌ ‌share‌ ‌our‌ ‌witness‌ ‌of‌ ‌God’s‌ ‌living‌ ‌presence‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌world.‌ ‌

Scripture Reading

13 Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on his afflicted.‌‌ 14 But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me;my Lord has forgotten me.” 15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. 16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;

- Isaiah 49:13-16

2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too

- II Corinthians 1:2-5

Offering

Offering is a form of worship. Here is a testimony from one of our members.

Just wanted to encourage ya’ll to keep tithing or giving in whatever manner you were. I know for us it was a little nerve wracking...most of my work has been put on hold suddenly over the last two weeks and we don’t know how long that will last. There is some temptation to save the money we have and stop giving for a while. But I have to say, when we hit “submit” on the online giving, I felt a whole lot of relief. You’d think the feeling would be an increase of fear ( that money is gone) but instead there is just a whole lot of comfort in handing that off to the Lord. It’s a great gift from God that we can hand our financial burdens off to him and say “look God whether we have more than enough or not enough to make ends meet, we trust you. This is yours and we have faith that you are going to take care of it." -Anonymous

Easter 2020

Welcome

Prayer

Rejoice!
The stone is rolled away,
grave clothes neatly folded,
no more the smell of death,
behold the empty tomb!
Halleluia! He is risen!

Rejoice!
Scripture has been fulfilled,
the sting of death is gone,
the victory has been won,
behold the risen Christ!
Halleluia! He is risen!

Rejoice!
The curtain’s torn in two,
our God invites us in,
Christ’s sacrifice enough
to wash away our sins!
Halleluia! (He is risen!)

Scripture Reading

3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

- 1 Corinthians 15:3-6;20-22

Offering

Offering is a form of worship. Here is a testimony from one of our members.

I know these are crazy times and it's easy to hold on to our money as opposed to giving. It's incredibly easy to put it on the back burner without having public church services right now, but I'm praying we all stay disciplined with our giving. I just used the mobile app and it was very easy!" -Anonymous

Welcome

Prayer

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever.
Hosanna to God, Hosanna in the highest!
Let Israel say, “His love endures forever!”
and all who fear God say, “His love endures forever!”
Hosanna to God, Hosanna in the highest!
With the Lord on our side, what can we fear? What can humankind do?
Hosanna to God, Hosanna in the highest!
We shall triumph over those who surround us
and stand in confidence in the Lord, our God!
Hosanna to God, Hosanna in the highest!
The Lord is our strength and our might. The Lord has become our salvation!
Hosanna to God, Hosanna in the highest!
Hosanna to God, Hosanna in the highest!

Scripture Reading

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

- Zechariah 9:9

The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you.
The Lord is God,
and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up to the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I will praise you;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

- Psalm 118:22-29
